Our Forum sample topic: I know "that is what the unread icon is for". but from a band width perspective if you cut every thread in half or even half of them in half that would add up quickly. but Im sure vbulletin does not have a plug-in that only loads posts that are less then a XXXX days old and if you want to see the rest of the "old thread" you hit the "see more". and even if it does that it would conflict with the Pruning that you guys have manually coded in. Dan, it does have that but the pruner does conflict with it on the admin side. Individuals can select in their options to only show threads of a certain age. I do like this idea though, and I think I know a way to archive them without conflicting with the pruner. Just need to check a couple of sites and then get with he powers that be. Is there a way to have the newest posts in a thread appear first, on page one, instead of having to go to the last page. Itd make it much easier to see the newest posts instead of having to go to the last page of each thread and scroll all the way down. Then the oldest posts would eventually fall off the last page. ThanksGo into your "Settings" (top right hand corner) on the left hand side there is the on sex nice beach menu, look for "General Settings" here is the quick link httpexbb. redclouds. comprofile. php?doeditoptionsScroll down and you will see "Thread Display Options" where you can change the "Thread Display Mode" among other options. Let me know if you run into any trouble or need further help. Woops, The on sex nice beach just noticed there is a link to a Help page with a description of how the different modes work.
